On 22 and 23 February Besenzoni launched the second edition of the Captains' Experience by welcoming 13 captains who are members of the Italian Yacht Masters association
The aim of the event, born last year from an idea of Giorgio Besenzoni, managing director of the Italian brand, and architect Filippo Rossi, is to open a debate on the preferences and needs of owners and crews on superyachts from all over the world. Thirteen captains - including Marco Nocenti, a member of the Italian association's board of directors - with 99 members were welcomed for two days of in-depth discussions and exchanges aimed at improving the lives of owners and crews on yachts. Giorgio Besenzoni accompanied the delegation on a tour of the company, to show, in particular, the latest innovations dedicated to superyachts that improve the on-board living experience. As always, great admiration was expressed for the construction quality and design technology behind the brand, especially in its application in the Unica custom product range, and in everything related to on-board handling applied to large yachts, of which the Oceano range of gangway ladders is the perfect example.
The visit represented a significant opportunity for a direct exchange of ideas and suggestions to improve the work of the professionals on board and promote the well-being of the owners and their guests.
Everyone agreed on the importance of ensuring a high quality sailing experience, highlighting the need to pay more and more attention to space and to adopt technological solutions that facilitate life on board, not only for the owner, but also for the crew, in the pursuit of a better, sustainable and safe service.
Italian Yacht Masters represents an exclusive club of Italian superyacht captains who share fundamental principles such as respect, integrity, competence and professionalism. Its primary purpose is to enhance the club itself, highlighting the pride and rich tradition of Italian yachting.
Giorgio Besenzoni commented on the occasion: "We were delighted to have received a delegation of Italian Yacht Masters captains for the second year running, and we hope that this event can become a regular occurrence, to be experienced as an important and stimulating discussion on the yachting sector.
