Besenzoni, hi-tech and green production in the foreground. The novelty for 2022 is the TenderLift with electric movement _ IlMessaggero.it

In the presence of a new boat, generally we focus on the style, the quality of the hull, the engine, the performance, the comfort of the spaces on deck and below deck. But on board there is more, much more, no less important: we refer to equipment such as gangways, ladders, windlasses, cranes for hauling tenders and toys, roof handling systems. , the seats for pilot and co-pilot, the automatic opening of doors and hatches… in short, everything that completes a yacht or a super yacht, but also small boats. More and more often, in this area, accessories and equipment made ad hoc are adopted, at the request of the shipyard or the owner himself: a job that is not easy, which requires capacity for innovation and speed of execution, starting from an indispensable propensity to work research and development.

Are there companies with these skills in Italy? Of course yes. Indeed, we Italians are at the forefront of the world with a brand that has contributed to writing the history of boating. The reference is to Besenzoni, which has been operating in the sector for 55 years, is present in 59 countries with 160 sales representative points and boasts over 60 patents. In short, a colossus that stands out for its ability to cope with the speed of change, with productions that are promptly updated (in many cases advanced) and - particularly not negligible - now also able to meet the needs imposed by the ecological transition. Seven collections today bring together over 170 products. Made with the usual attention to detail and enriched by the most innovative and avant-garde technological and design solutions, they constitute the widest range available on the market.

All this emerged on the occasion of a visit to the company led by Giorgio Besenzoni, a true pioneer in the sector. “The issue of sustainability has become essential - said the number one of the shipyard that bears his name - and for this very reason we have also been changing company processes for many years. We pay attention to the use of resources by limiting the impact on the environment as much as possible, from the most banal but still drastic reduction in the use of paper in offices, to the choice of completely rethinking packaging materials, replaced with more sustainable alternatives. And again - adds the owner - we have made updates and replacements of machinery with new less impactful solutions: for example, we use a new water cutting system, giving up mineral oil and using electric pumps to avoid pollution and dispersions ".

It is in this context that a novelty has also been announced ready to debut on board the boats of 2022. It is the electrically operated TenderLift, the latest technological product dedicated to the management of all the operations necessary for hauling / launching tenders and jets. ski guaranteeing the crew optimal control of this technical phase that can be managed by a single operator, without the slightest disturbance for the owner.

IlTenderLift comes after LaPasserella, LaScala and IlSalpAncora presented by Besenzoni during 2020. In this way the range of equipment aimed at simplifying and making life on board more and more sustainable is further enriched. The declared capacity is 850 kg, including the weight of the platform, but the production - it has been explained - includes other versions with lifting capacities from 400 to 1200 kg as well as totally customizable solutions. The custom variants, moreover, are one of the flagships of the company, which has made its ability to adapt perfectly to the needs of the owner and shipyard a fundamental point of its business.

During the presentation, the merits of Besenzoni's BeElectric range were highlighted, which has advantages both for the boats on which it is used and for the environment. First of all, the absence of the hydraulic unit and oil makes the systems quieter and the boats lighter. And the weight reduction leads to a number of savings, having fewer kilos on board and lower installation and maintenance costs. Added to this is also an automatic reduction in fuel, resulting in less impact on the marine environment. Energy consumption on board is also reduced, without the need for the hydraulic power of the engine. The energy itself is optimized, starting from the electronic control of the effort with less current to avoid excessive stress on the system and the structure.
