We sail on the first unit of Solaris Power 55, the new "lobster" created by Norberto Ferretti and Brunello Acampara, an architect with extensive experience in this type of boats. This new Solaris Power 55 starts a range that will cover units between 46 and 88 feet, and was built in the Solaris Power yard, owned by Giuseppe Giuliani, founder of Grand Soleil in 1974, which created a production facility in Forlí in 2008 dedicated to the construction of motor boats from 45 to 110 feet which, having worked for the most renowned international brands, is now the shipyard that will build this new range. We managed to get on board the Solaris Power 55 in the waters of Lavagna, south of Genoa, where the yard has its office, and sail with the wind and a sea of ​​cam of just over a meter. The hull, with its almost vertical high and elegant roll and the lobster's own andyped arch, which allows you to face the bow wave without blinking by diverting the rations and keeping the bridge dry, has allowed us to experience sensations in the fast navigation, the 21 knot cruiser that reminded us of the regular movement that we would have experienced aboard a sailboat of the same length. This in terms of behavior, in which we will expand later. As for the sensations on board, both on the deck and inside, it should be noted that the treatment of the external space and the internal volumes, together with the elegance of the materials and the excellent finishes, transferred us to the golden age of this "typology of ships - on the Atlantic coast of states of nesting, when the more affluent classes have adopted it as a prestige ship, ideal not only to move into second homes or to spend holidays on board, but as an important socialization tool.

COVERED SPACES
The version we visited of the Solaris Power 55 is the Sun Deck, which differs from the other version available, called Flybridge, which leads to the upper deck through an internal staircase located behind the control pole and through the electric roof. Once on, a solarium area allows you to relax and enjoy the sun as if you were a small fly. The bow and stern of the main deck are added to this rest area. The first, in the bow, is elevated compared to the aisles and configures a privileged area of ​​navigation accompaniment which is accessed in total safety thanks to the high side and the wide passages that allow to circulate around the perimeter of the boat on a flat foot , without obstacles or steps. The stern, behind the bathtub, is elevated above the garage, which, when opened, shows a large capacity space where it is possible to stow an auxiliary boat of 2.70 meters or a water jet of 2.80 meters. But what really differentiates the Solaris from the rest and constitutes one of its main arguments, is that it is the first lobster type vessel whose sides of the boat are electrically folded towards the bands to multiply the space of the tank and offer two real terraces on the water. The detachable access ladder designed by the house and worked by Besenzoni, the maneuver of the winch to tie the bands hidden in the arm, the side aisles at one level, the substantial covers of the scuppers, the control panel of the gangway, the terraces and the garage, with a refrigerator underneath, the wardrobe module with a sink in the bathtub, the supports for the fenders, the crown design ... Everything exudes quality, rationality and order.

INTERIORS
The design, on the other hand, has perfected deliveries, eliminated corners, rounded edges ... This is seen in the forms of the house - which are surprising - due to its height but which meets the criteria of Norberto Ferretti, with his own words, "the concepts of functionality and rationality prevail in the thesis" - but also inside, bright and spacious, in fact, the stand - built entirely of carbon so as not to raise the center of gravity - It offers a height and proportions that from the inside convey the feeling of being on board a much larger boat. The interior is accessible from a solid glass door with three hinges, after which the space is divided into a living room and a navigation area, with a double folding seat and a complete console, elegant and well organized, with levers of the Volvo and the joystick of the EVC at hand, which will delight the most demanding model. It is necessary to emphasize here the pantograph side door of the steering position which allows it to happen easily to the band.
