Ucina at the Singapore Yacht Show 2019 with a collective of companies: Italian export flies to South East Asia.
There are 28 Italian companies that participated in the Asian event between the ICE-UCINA collective and individual exhibitions

The 9th edition of the Singapore Yacht Show has just ended, the famous Asian event dedicated to the luxury yachts sector, which this year saw UCINA Confindustria Nautica and ICE Agenzia present itself to the South East Asian market with an institutional stand, in representation of the whole chain of pleasure boating and with the now traditional formula of the collective of companies.

The event, held on a total area (in water and on land) of over 10,000 square meters, offered visitors the opportunity to discover different types of products, from yachts to luxury products, from shipbuilding to nautical brokerage, from maritime services up to components and accessories.

28 Italian companies participated in the Asian event between the ICE-UCINA collective and individual exhibitions, including Sanlorenzo, Monte Carlo Yachts, Tecnoseal, Maori yacht, Spartivento, Marina del Cavallino, Fiart Rent, North Sardinia Sail Nss Charter, Vulkan, GFN, Besenzoni, Saim and B-Shiver / Novamarine.

“The SYS - said Mario Gornati, marketing and communication director of Sanlorenzo - today represents the most important nautical event in South East Asia and, considering that there are no other similar events that have been able to consolidate throughout the vast Asian territory , there was also an increase in visitors from Hong Kong. The 2019 edition also recorded an increase in the number of boats on display. Surely today the SYS represents an interesting market opportunity for boats up to 100/120 feet in length ”.

"For us - explained Marco Donà, CEO of Saim Spa - it was a first experiment decided also thanks to the organization of the collective ICE-UCINA, which allowed us to optimize the organization of our presence. Excellent support both from a technical point of view and for the development of very interesting relationships. We were favorably impressed by the presence of Italian shipyards that are in clear majority over the total, something that makes us proud and makes us understand even more the importance of the strategic nature of the Italian sector in the world. We have had important contacts and concrete negotiations with local shipyards, brokers, operators and many shipowners ".

"We attended - added Giulio Grimaldi, CEO of Fiart Rent - with the aim of meeting operators and creating relationships to bring final customers to Italy. Visitors proved to be a really interesting and very profiled target. Certainly the formula of the ICE-UCINA collective has allowed us to enhance the Made in Italy well. The technical and networking organizational facilities are certainly the added value with this formula ".

"The Singapore Motor Show - concluded Roberto Perocchio, president of Marina del Cavallino - also demonstrates the growing interest of the Asian market for tourism in Italy. The SYS has confirmed itself as a refined and efficient event, with opportunities for 360-degree networking both for Italian companies and for the offer of nautical holidays in Italy, with a target of international visitors coming also from USA and Australia. Excellent support from ICE and UCINA both in terms of technical assistance and communication to strengthen the contents of individual exhibitors ".

From the analysis of the annual report of Ucina "Nautica in Cifre" (prepared by the Edison Foundation on ISTAT data), in 2017 Italian exports of pleasure boats and sports boats in Singapore amounted to 25.283 billion euros, with an impressive growth of 176.7% compared to 9.138 billion in 2016. Imports in 2016 were minimal (60 thousand euros) and almost zero in 2017: the balance for Italy is therefore largely positive.
