Evo V8 24 meters of “Wow Effect”. This is what is expected when climbing on the Evo V8, the flagship of Blu Emme Yachts, which does not betray expectations.
“Usually those who go on a motoryacht start their holiday once they arrive at their destination, in the harbor or in the harbor, those who go on a sailing boat feel like they are on vacation as soon as they set foot on board. Evo V8, on the other hand, combines the speed of the engine with the comfort and relaxation of sailing ", is how the designer Valerio Rivellini defines the boat he designed for the Blu Emme Yachts shipyard.
EVO V8 24 METERS, THE DEBUT AT THE CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL
At the last Cannes Yachting Festival Evo 24-meter V8 made its world debut, effectively inaugurating a market segment where sailing and motor navigation cross halfway, in a perfect balance between comfort and performance. On the occasion of the Croisette Yachting festival, we visited it, letting ourselves be amazed and thrilled by this first boat which, like a matryoshka, hides a surprise inside the other.

[...] Not only aesthetics, but also functionality. In such a large beach area it was possible, thanks to careful design work in collaboration with Besenzoni, to conceal some technical elements, such as the tender and the ditching crane.
BLU EMME YACHTS AND BESENZONI: THE NOMINATION TOGETHER WITH THE BOAT BUILDER AWARD
The G 444 hydraulic crane is able to perfectly hide in the beach area, freeing up every centimeter of space available on the deck. One of the solutions - the others we will discover later - which earned Besenzoni the nomination for the Boat Builder Award for which she is nominated together with Blu Emme Yachts, precisely with the EVO V8, in the "Superyacht Builder and its Supply Chain Partner" category. . Another reason for the nomination was the SP 602 multifunctional retractable ladder/gangway at the stern which facilitates access both in the water and on the quay.
EVO V8, THE SPECIAL OWNER'S CABIN
From the deck you can access a first surprise of this boat: the owner's cabin. This is located at the stern, lowered, in a separate room. To access it from the beach area, it is necessary to go down 4 steps through which you reach an intimate private lounge, a true antechamber of the owner's suite and which also acts as a patio. This solution allows the owner to have a lot of privacy and to enjoy a real private terrace overlooking the sea.
THE INSPIRATION OF THE DESIGNER
In choosing the designer, Rivellini was inspired by the world of sailing, re-proposing a clean style, with simple fabrics and essences, such as the maple threaded teak that unites this cabin and the lounge area. To access the main deck, it is possible to walk along the two side ladders which lead to the two rear entrances to the main saloon, while a third entrance is from the bow and is also the one closest to the driving area.
EVO V8 AND THE WORLD OF SAILING
But between the stairs and the entrances we find the real peculiarity of this boat: two wheel rudders that act as driving positions in all respects, equipped with technology and the indisputable charm of a sailboat. With this in mind, great attention was paid to the theme of conviviality just like it happens in a sailing experience: a sitting area aft of the main deck therefore becomes a unicum with the two side rudders.
THE MAIN BRIDGE
The main deck features a large and panoramic lounge, crossed by large partially opening windows that allow a fluid passage of air with the external environment; this is also a solution designed custom with Besenzoni and which contributed, together with the awning of the BestShade division at the bow, to the nomination for the Boat Builder Awards 2021.
THE SALOON
The salon is designed to have direct contact with the sea. on this boat, starting from the stern, we find two front sofas and a piece of furniture on the stern side, above which we find windows covered with particular blackout films with LCD crystals. These windows allow you to reflect the images of a high quality projector with the same rendering of a 4K screen. Then we come to the table and the dining area, which precedes the main driving console, equipped with two seats and all the technology necessary for navigation.
THE BOW
The bow is accessible from the side walkways and from the saloon. It offers a large space that can be used both as a sundeck - sheltered by the aforementioned BestShade awning by Besenzoni - or as a convivial area with an elegant foldaway table. But true to the vocation of a convertible yacht and full of surprises, guests will discover.

THE SURPRISES OF THE EVO V8: THE ROOF TOP
But the surprises in this Evo V8 do not end. From the dining area at the stern of the main deck, via a recessed hydraulic ladder (a solution designed with Besenzoni and another reason for nomination for the Boat Builder Award 2021), the Roof Top designed to amaze even more. What opens up is a dream view on a terrace, where we find the fourth driving position, 4 sun loungers, shower and fridge. The peculiarity of this area was to keep it 'flat', that is, hidden from the side view, so as not to reveal its presence. The telescopic handrails also rise to protect guests during navigation and the retractable steering console allows you to steer the yacht without having to access the other command posts.
EVO V8: PERFORMANCE
A boat full of surprises: planing hull , sailing spirit and highly technological and customized solutions. This first unit is powered by two Volvo Penta IPS 1350 engines with a power of 2 x 1000 hp , which recorded a maximum speed of 23 knots . While cruising, the boat records a speed of 18 knots and a consumption of 280 l / h at 2,100 rpm. An important fact is that of noise : at this pace, 58/59 decibels are recorded, which represent a rather moderate noise. At a speed of 15 knots, consumption is 200 l / h at 1,800 rpm and 58 decibels recorded. The fuel tank is 4150 liters and allows a navigation range of 400 nautical miles.
