GROUP OF ITALIAN COMPANIES ORGANIZED BY UCINA AND ICE AGENCY AT THE 9TH SINGAPORE YACHT SHOW
On Sunday April 14th, the 9th Singapore Yacht Show ended, the main Asian event dedicated to the luxury yacht sector that offers enthusiasts the opportunity to discover different types of products, from yachts to luxury products, passing through the shipbuilding, nautical brokerage, maritime services, components and accessories, on a total area in water and on land of over 10,000 square meters.
UCINA Confindustria Nautica, in collaboration with ICE Agenzia, was present with an institutional stand representing the entire yachting industry chain and with an exhibition of Italian companies that have chosen the collective formula to present themselves to the Asian market: Tecnoseal, Maori yacht, Spartivento, Marina del Cavallino, Fiart Rent, North Sardinia Sail Nss Charter, Vulkan, GFN, Besenzoni, Saim, B-Shiver / Novamarine.
From the analysis of the annual report of UCINA Confindustria Nautica "Nautica in Cifre", based on the Edison Foundation on ISTAT data, in 2017 Italian exports to Singapore of pleasure boats and sports boats amounted to 25.283 billion euros, with a leap impressive by 176.7% compared to 9.138 billion in 2016. Imports in 2016 were minimal, 60 thousand euro and almost zero in 2017: the balance is therefore largely positive for Italy.
28 in total the Italian companies that have chosen Singapore to present their products in South East Asia, between the ICE UCINA collective and individual exhibitions. Among UCINA members Confindustria Nautica: Sanlorenzo, Monte Carlo Yachts, Saim, G.F.N., Vulkan, Tecnoseal, Spartivento, Marina del Cavallino, Fiart Rent.
Good feedback from those who participated in this 9th edition of the Singapore Yacht Show, as evidenced by the statements of the member companies that took part in it.
Mario Gornati, Marketing & Communication Director Sanlorenzo: “The SYS represents today the most important nautical event in South East Asia and, considering that there are no other similar events that have been able to consolidate throughout the vast Asian territory, there is also an increase in visitors from Hong Kong, while for the Chinese mainland the Visa constraint still exists. However, the 2019 edition shows an increase in the number of boats on display. Surely today the SYS represents an interesting market opportunity for boats up to 100/120 feet in length ”.
Marco Dona ’, Ceo of SAIM Spa:“ For us it was a first experiment decided also thanks to the organization of the collective ICE - UCINA that allowed us to optimize the organization of our presence. Excellent support both from a technical point of view and for the development of very interesting relationships. We were favorably impressed by the presence of Italian shipyards that are in clear majority over the total, something that makes us proud and makes us understand, even more, the importance of the strategic nature of the Italian sector in the world. We have had important contacts and concrete negotiations with local shipyards, brokers, operators and many shipowners ".
Giulio Grimaldi, AD Fiart Rent: “We participated with the aim of meeting operators and creating relationships to bring final customers to Italy. Visitors proved to be a really interesting and very profiled target. Surely the UCINA collective ICE formula has allowed us to enhance the Made in Italy well. The technical and networking organizational facilities are undoubtedly the added value of participation with this formula ".
Roberto Perocchio, President of Marina del Cavallino: “The Singapore Motor Show shows the growing interest of the Asian market for tourism in Italy. The SYS has confirmed itself as a refined and efficient event, with opportunities for 360 degree networking both for Italian companies and for the offer of nautical holidays in Italy, with a target of international visitors coming also from USA and Australia. Excellent support from ICE and UCINA Confindustria Nautica both from the point of view of technical assistance and communication to strengthen the contents of individual exhibitors ".
